Week 36: Lots of videos and photos

I've been quite busy during the days now that we've moved into our new house, so have been neglecting the blog for a bit. I have been taking lots of videos on my phone though! So here are the videos I've taken in the last week.

You've recently learnt to shake your head, though you're not saying 'No'. It's just random shaking and sometimes nodding of your head. It's quite funny, especially when we ask you a question and it looks like you're saying no to us.

You're still not crawling yet but you have learnt to shuffle backwards. I found you shuffled right under the couch the other day!

On the weekend, you got the case of the giggles whenever we made the shushing noise. For some reason, you found it hilarious!

Week 35 milestone: Turning on the TV

Yesterday morning, I was in the kitchen getting you a sippy cup when I suddenly heard the TV come on. I was so surprised and ran into the living room. This was what I found:

You had taken the remote and worked out how to turn the tv on! I found you completely engrossed in watching the news. It was so funny! You definitely have your priorities straight - 8 months old, can't crawl but knows how to turn on the tv.

Here's a video that Aunty Mandy took of you when she came over with Uncle Trevor. She wanted to motivate you to do tummy time by giving you the remote to turn on the tv. She really made you work for the tv!

I bought you a pair of baby sunglasses that wrap around your head. Here you are trying it for the first time. You really did not like it, I think because it was too dark with the sunglasses on. So I've been trying to get you used to the sunglasses out in the sunlight. You still hate putting it on. Sigh...I hope you get used to wearing it soon.

Week 35: Settling into our new home

We moved everything in last Friday and are slowly settling into our new home. We finally got internet access! I can update this blog.

Here's a video I took yesterday of your grandparents helping you learn to crawl. It's so funny the way you complain about them making you reach for your toy.

Here is another video I took on the weekend of you making a new sound, "ne ne ne". You only make this noise when you're annoyed.

Week 34: Lots of packing

Week 33: Our NBA basketballer and weekly round-up

You look so cute in this NBA outfit that Aunty Katrina & Uncle Daniel bought you - looks like you're ready to play :)

Those big armholes are perfect for me to tickle you. It's so cute the way you anticipate being tickled when you see me reach towards you and then you make these loud belly laughs!

Standing up so well!

Week 33 milestone: Standing up

I dressed you in jeans on Tuesday and you looked so much like a toddler! I can't believe how fast you are growing up. You'll be 8 months at the end of next week. Where did the time go?

I put you up against the couch and you were able to stand up holding on to the couch for a few seconds.

You're growing more hair and your little bald spot is filling in!

I captured these expressions on your face when you saw Daddy come home from work and walk into the bedroom. You were so happy to see Daddy!

Week 33: Eating broccoli

I wanted to try baby-led weaning with you today so I steamed some broccoli and let you hold the florets to see if you would eat them. As you can see in the videos, you had more fun playing with the broccoli than actually eating it. Back to puree for you!

Week 32 weekly round-up

The weather was nice and warm earlier this week, so I gave you more nappy-free time. You haven't had any accidents with the nappy off, maybe I've just been very lucky :)
